A research and transfer lab exploring new technologies at the intersection of media technologies, computer science and design — from XR to AI and beyond.
About Us
The Digital Realities Lab is a research and transfer lab at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) and part of the Competence Center Smart Systems in Society (CC3S). The lab offers an open space with modern infrastructure to research groups, students, startups and transfer partners.
Our mission is to explore new technologies at the intersection of media technologies, computer science and design. Especially, the lab bundles expertise in virtual-, augmented- and mixed reality technologies, human-computer interaction, game development, artificial intelligence and (3D) visualization. We cooperate with partners to apply this knowledge in different domains such as industry, architecture, medicine, education, culture and entertainment.
